GERARDO ORTÍZ Releases His Highly Anticipated New Album COMERÉ CALLADO VOL. 2

Renowned singer-songwriter, Gerardo Ortíz, returns with Comeré Callado Vol. 2 , his seventh studio album. The complete album is now available in physical and digital format.

Comeré Callado Vol. 2 conatains 15 songs with crisp, solid brass banda musical accompaniment. There are 10 new songs and five banda versions of songs that appeared on Comeré Callado Vol. 1 , which featured Sierreño and norteño-banda instrumentation.

All of the new material on Comeré Callado Vol. 2 delves into themes of romance and seduction. Prominent composers contributed songs to this project, including Joss Favela with “Claro,” and Edén Muñoz and Luciano Luna with “Creí,” a story of an unreciprocated love. Eight of the songs on Comeré Callado Vol. 2 are written or co-written by Gerardo Ortíz.

The album is primarily dominated by ballad and rhythmic-ballad tempos, but Gerardo Ortíz also slips in a danceable quebradita on “Y Cómo Quieres,” written by Anibal Sánchez Galindo.

Regional Mexian music lovers are ready for Gerardo Ortíz‘s new material after the success of his first single “El Aroma de tu Piel“. The track recently hit #3 on the Billboard’s “Regional Mexican Airplay” chart. Its official music video, directed by the renown Pablo Croce in Los Angeles, has over 10 million views to date.

In February, Comeré Callado Vol. 1 was certified Platinum in the United States by the RIAA. It produced four “Regional Mexican Airplay” hit singles: the ballads “Regresa Hermosa” (#1) and “Para Qué Lastimarme” (#3); along with the corridos “Palma Salazar” (#7) and “Recordando a Manuel” (#12).

Gerardo Ortíz is one of the most outstanding artists of the last decade who has achieved great popularity thanks to the success his album sales have reached and the records he has accomplished. For instance, becoming the lead singer with the most #1’s on Billboard’s “Regional Mexican Songs” chart. Gerardo Ortíz has also become an important phenomenon in the digital world, counting with more than 18.3 million followers on social media, and surpassing one billion views on his official VEVO channel.

Gerardo Ortíz will be doing in-store autograph signings throughout various cities across the United States, where fans can meet and take pictures with the Regional Mexican star.
