Boo! Did I scare you? If I did not, that is okay there are plenty of haunted houses in Western Michigan that will be sure to make your adrenaline rush and your knees weak. During the fall, most people partake in the classic festivities such as pumpkin patches, orchards, and even trick-or-treating. However, for those who don’t want to take part in the classic seasonal festivities, there lies the unforgettable and unrelenting experiences of haunted houses! Regardless of what city you are from, there is a haunted house for every thrill seeker. Take a couple minutes and see whether or not you will survive the terror of the night that lies behind the nooks and crannies of these homes! Psst, this is not for the faint of heart.

The Haunted Hallow
13215 M-96 (Augusta Dr.) Augusta, MI

The Haunted Hallow is an award winning haunted house located in Augusta, Michigan opening October 1. They only are open during Friday and Saturday evenings through the month of October if you are brave enough to come check them out for yourselves. Once you and your guests are done conjuring up enough courage to make it through alive, you enter into a forest to navigate through the prop-studded attraction. If you think you are alone and the darkness is the only thing you should be afraid of, think again! There are monsters of every shape and size imaginable on top of ghosts, ghouls, witches, and more that lurk beyond where the eyes can see. They are ready to come chase you, make you scream, and weak at the knees. If you have a health condition, are pregnant, or have small children who are easily terrified enter at your own risk.

Fear the Farm Zombie Hunt

Fear the Farm Zombie Hunt is located in Battle Creek, Michigan. This is an experience unlike any other. You enter the park and board a paintball Army Truck. Once you and your guests enter the truck, prepare yourselves for a scary and thrilling ride of a life-time. The Truck slowly moves through a haunted forest where this limited visibility. There are strobe lights, audio, lighting, and fog creating a bone-chilling environment. Out from the corners of the dark, zombies begin to chase after the car and claw their way to the guests. However, if you get scared easily, this is not the haunted attraction for you. Children under 13 years old must be accompanied by an adult. Participators must enter at their own risk; if you are pregnant, suffer from seizures, pregnant, claustrophobic, or suffer from any other health problems it is advised that you do not enter for your own safety.

Forest of Fear

Forest of Fear is located in Caledonia, Michigan and has been open since 2003. It is a large, five acre outside attraction where you and your guests choose where to roam; the possibilities are endless. You enter into the forest with multiple paths, let your bravery be your guide. Placed throughout the swamps and the forest are the night’s greatest terrors. Ghosts and monsters are waiting and watching your every move from the nooks and crannies where they are hiding. Do you think you can survive wandering into the wilderness for this breath-taking and adrenaline rushing experience? If so, after you make it out alive there is a store and concessions where you can re-hydrate from losing all the liquid from your body. If you choose to participate, keep in mind that young children, although are permitted, sometimes do not want to continue through the attraction because of fear.

Witches of New Salem Haunted Woods & Corn Maze
4516 24th St, Dorr, MI 49323

Witches of New Salem Haunted Woods & Corn Maze is located in Dorr, Michigan. Witches of New Salem Witches Woods is an outdoor attraction that takes place throughout the neighboring woods. Guests are told to choose between two paths, “The Wicked Path” and “Twisted Trail”. These paths are smothered with over 20 attractions that are sure to send a chill down your spine and bring out your worst nightmares; filled with the mentally unstable, witches, a ghouls, you will be sure to find yourself coming face-to-face with each and every one. If Witches Woods is not for you, you can try to survive the Haunted Corn Maze. As you try to find your way out, you are met with confusion. However, confusion won’t be your only problem; what lurks between the corn and around every corner will make you scream with terror. Trail of Terror

Trail of Terror is located in Holton, Michigan. Guests enter the woods through a cover and are left to fight for their lives. As you wander through the forest that is dimly lit and filled with corn stalks, there are clowns, skeletons, and monsters hiding in the shadows of the dark. Some will follow you, some will pop out from the corners of the forest, and some will just plain creep you out. Are you prepared for a clown with a chainsaw to come out of your dreams and follow you in reality? If you and your guests are brave enough to take a trip through the forest, be sure to keep in mind that all ages are permitted to enter, however, parental discretion is advised. If you suffer from any health conditions be sure to keep this in mind before entering Trail of Terror; it is very loud and sure to make you shake with fear.

Psycho Ward & Nightmares
7656 Ravine Rd, Kalamazoo, MI 49009

Psycho Ward & Nightmares is located in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Psycho Ward & Nightmares is a large haunt park that is made up of many horrifying attractions. They have Psycho Ward where you and your guests journey through the passages of a psycho ward. In this psycho ward, there are the mentally unstable who make sure to let you know that the rules as we know them no longer apply. If you think you can navigate through the passages while dealing with the mentally unhinged, then this may be the attraction for you. Another attraction at Psycho Ward & Nightmares are Nightmares where you enter in a room and watch as your childhood nightmares unfold before your very eyes. They also offer their last attractions such as Clown Chaos Firing Range where you relentlessly fight clowns with paintball guns. Children under 12 are not permitted to enter unless parents are well-equipped to handle their terror.

The Haunted Hall
6621 Heights Ravenna Rd, Fruitport, MI 49415

The Haunted Hall is located at the Muskegon County Fairgrounds in Fruitport, Michigan. The Haunted Hall is a bone-chilling and jolting destination that has three main attractions: The Foundry, Bunker, and Containment Zone. A majority of these attractions remain inside, although one does make you navigate through woods. Guests are asked that they check with their physicians before entering, pregnant women, and young children are especially not allowed for their safety. As you and your guests enter any of the attractions you are met with sheer terror. Nightmares of the past become problems of reality as they chase you around as you try to find your way out. If you are going alone or are in a group, the groups must be of six or smaller to ensure that no one is able to escape the mess.

Niles Haunted House Scream Park

Niles Haunted House Scream Park is located in Niles, Michigan. Niles Haunted House Scream Park is known to be one of the scariest of the country and one of the biggest. They offer 44 acres worth of fear that will forever be pressed into your memory. It is an innovative Haunted attraction because they re-build and re-design each attraction each year to ensure unpredictability and less probability of your party being able to survive! They also have many awards given by prominent Halloween Magazines and specialists. If you and your guests are prepared to enter each and every attraction, enter at your own risk. The park does not take responsibility if you are pregnant, have a young child, or have a health condition. It is best advised that you talk to your doctor before entering Niles Haunted House Scream Park because it is sure to get your blood pumping.

 

The Haunt

The Haunted is located in Walker, Michigan. The Haunted is a large haunted destination that has four attractions such as The Haunt which is an outdoor walk where monsters are studded all over the woods that you have to walk through, The Dark Maze which turns out to be a wooden maze, Trapped which is a new indoor mini maze that only leads to dead ends, and Clown Alley 3D where there is a spinning Vortex, room, and killer clowns. You and your guests are able to choose your fate; but be careful you must be able to face head on with the night’s creepiest creatures. If you are the faint of heart, have health conditions, or are pregnant consult with a doctor before entering the attractions that The Haunted has to offer.
