From Charlotte, North Carolina

FarándulaMag: Why did you decide to choose fashion styling & makeup artistry/hairstyling as a career?
Liv: Growing up and still today I love looking at fashion magazines. I would tear pages out and put them all over my walls. I’ve always been inspired how the fashion spreads have unique combinations of clothing that create such an amazing look. Being a model for 10 years I’ve discovered my love for becoming a stylist. Being on set of photoshoots throughout the years I found makeup artistry, hairstyling, and fashion styling as my passion.

FarándulaMag: What is the best part of fashion?
Liv: The best part of fashion is being innovative. Introducing new ideas and creative thinking. Fashion is all about expressing yourself, and your confidence from that can create unique ensembles when you experiment and put your twist on things. Not only in fashion, but head to toe with makeup & hair as well. No cat eye, Brazilian blowout, or expensive dress looks good unless you have confidence.

FarándulaMag: What skills according to you are necessary for a successful fashion stylist?
Liv: Some skills I think would be very necessary is knowing color, how color works together, how to enhance certain pieces. Also, being detail oriented & being very precise. Not only are those skills for putting clothing together, but those are skills that are very important when it comes to makeup and hair.

FarándulaMag: What do you consider the important facets of the fashion industry?

Liv: Out of the box thinking and having a modern outlook.

FarándulaMag: How would you describe your personal style?
Liv: Fashion forward, Edgy, glam, unique, and innovative.

FarándulaMag: What kind of clothes will you prefer during an interview?
Liv: Something that speaks “you” something that tells the interviewer who you are and what you can bring to the table. Whatever your interviewing for it’s key to look the part but still having your own personal style come through. As far as silhouettes go, wear something that flatters your shape & is comfortable. A fitted suit is a great go to.
