Nicky Jam was awarded four RIAA-certified DIAMOND records on Saturday, February 10, in an extraordinary presentation during his concert at Miami’s AmericanAirlines Arena. Receiving the awards in front of over 9,000 fans, Nicky Jam showed that he is at the peak of his career and has plenty of momentum for 2018.
Nir Seroussi, President of Sony Music US Latin, and Juan Diego Medina Vélez, Nicky Jam‘s manager and President of La Industria Inc, presented the commemorative plaques to the artist. These DIAMOND records recognize the massive sales of his album Fénix (10x PLATINUM, which unlocks the Diamond level), along with singles “El Amante” (The Lover, 13x PLATINUM), “El Perdón” (Forgiveness, 27x PLATINUM), and “Hasta El Amanecer” (Until Dawn, 22x PLATINUM) in the United States and Puerto Rico.
Nicky Jam‘s surprise and delight was clear to the audience, as he paid tribute to them: “I feel overjoyed with God and with all my followers. Thanks to you, I’m living through all of this.”
Meanwhile, Nicky Jam is working on his upcoming single and filming his series El Ganador (The Winner) which will premiere soon on Telemundo in the United States and Puerto Rico, and later in the year on Netflix for the rest of the world.
