Sean Blackman in Transit presents Tango y Flamenco Fusion at the DeVos Performance Hall

The Grand Rapids Kent County Convention / Arena Authority’s Community Inclusion Group present the Latin Entertainment Series Tango y Flamenco Fusion with world music award winner composer and performer “Sean Blackman” at DeVos Performance Hall on Thursday, August 30th at 7:30PM. A musical production of a unique fusion of tango and flamenco, the two most important Hispanic manifestations in music, song, and dance from Spain and Latin America.

The show features U.S. Argentine Tango Champions Daniel and Amanda, pianist Bob Mervak and violinist Sonia LeeAmanda Accica y Daniel Moreno who are the 2016 USA Tango Champions, based out of Argentine Tango Detroit.

Sean Blackman’s unique World Music style is influenced by his deep passion for traditional ethnic music from around the world and of course, growing up in Detroit — Jazz, Blues, Rock and Soul. Blackman works with internationally renowned performers as well as Detroit’s finest and always brings a cross-culture approach to his shows and recordings.
