Grand Rapids, MI:  The Grand Rapids Public Museum (GRPM) announced today that a new exhibit, Merry Christmas, Charlie Brown! will open on October 29, 2016. Explore the making of the animated Peanuts classic and celebrate the anticipation, joy and pitfalls of the holiday season only at the GRPM.
This exhibit celebrates the holiday season as explored in the Peanuts comic strips. Visitors will see a behind the scenes look at the making of the animated classic, A Charlie Brown Christmas.

Visitors will enjoy 50 Peanuts daily and Sunday comic strips, more than 50 vintage Peanuts-themed seasonal novelties, and a video featuring Charles Schulz, producer Lee Mendelson and animator/director Bill Melendez that details the sometimes magical and often madcap making of A Charlie Brown Christmas. The exhibit also includes a Santa letter writing station and a photo opportunity for the entire family.

“Merry Christmas, Charlie Brown! will allow kids and parents alike to get into the holiday spirit,” said Kate Moore, VP of Marketing and Public Relations at the GRPM. “This exhibit puts together fun hands-on activities as well as the history behind the making of A Charlie Brown Christmas for an all inclusive family experience.”

Admission for Merry Christmas, Charlie Brown! will be included with general admission to the GRPM and is free to Museum members.

Merry Christmas, Charlie Brown! is organized and toured by the Charles M. Schulz Museum and Research Center, Santa Rosa, California.
