14th Annual St. Patrick’s Day Festivities

Saugatuck/Douglas, MI – Saugatuck-Douglas…The Irish spirit abounds right here in
O’Saugatuck and McDouglas as the Saugatuck/Douglas Convention & Visitors Bureau will be sponsoring the pet themed, “Erin Go Bark! People and their Pets” Parade on Saturday March 12, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in downtown Saugatuck. All creatures great and small are invited to participate in the parade to express their “Irish side.” Prizes will be awarded to the best dressed pets. Line up for the parade will be at 1:30 p.m. at the Culver Street parking lot next to the Saugatuck Center for the Arts.

Saugatuck Brewing Company will be serving a traditional Irish Breakfast Buffet on Saturday March 12 from 8:30 a.m.to 10:30 a.m. Tickets are $17.00 for adults ($15.00 for Pint Club members) and $8.00 for children under 12. Included with admission will be live music from Rich Burkholder and special guests and your first pint or mimosa. No green beer – just good food and great beer! Coral Gables will be sponsoring the 10th annual Saugatuck/Douglas Pub Crawl. Participants are invited to join in the parade through downtown Saugatuck. The Pub Crawl will begin immediately after the parade. Over 8 restaurants & bars will be participating in this event. There is also an After Party at the Coral Gables Crow Bar at 9:00 p.m. where all the participants reunite for dancing and craic (Irish for fun!) with “DJ Rozay”. Price for the pub crawl is $5.00 and includes a t-shirt and free admission to the After Party for those wearing their wrist bands. Saugatuck Brewing Company will be featuring traditional Irish music by Soltre in the pub from6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. and other area restaurants and pubs will be preparing a variety of Irish drinks, traditional fare and live music.
