Founders Harvest Ale Uses Local Michigan Hops for “Farm to Hand” Fresh Beer

The annual hop harvest is here, which means the arrival of our limited release beer brewed with fresh, wet hops right off the vine: Founders Harvest Ale.

Harvest Ale is a wet hopped beer, meaning hops are brewing in the beer within 24 hours of being picked. We like to say this is the brewing equivalent of “farm to table” when it comes to hops.  To further ensure we get the freshest possible hops, we’re proud to use 86% Michigan wet hops in our Harvest Ale. They’re picked from local Michigan farms and fermenting in beer within hours.

Harvest Ale has an upfront hop presence bursting with fresh citrus followed by toasted malt undertones. Harvest Ale has a 7.6% ABV and 70 IBUs and is available on draft and 4-packs for a suggested retail price of $11.99 in October.  More importantly, this beer is meant to be drank fresh to fully experience the flavors of the wet hops.
