Kalamazoo, MI – With a sold out attendance for its first year in 2015, ‘Wine Not?’ returns for a second year on Saturday, February 13 at the Radisson Plaza Hotel in downtown Kalamazoo.

This year, the event has grown to include over 40 wineries, with half from Michigan, that attendees can sample from during the evening from 5-8 pm. Cody Kresta Winery, St. Julian Winery, Round Barn Winery, and Tempo Vino Winery are just some of those returning, while others have joined on for their debut at ‘Wine Not?’ including Cogdal Vineyards, Lazy Ballerina, and 12 Corners Vineyards. A full list of participating wineries can be viewed at WKFR.com.

New for 2016, wine and food pairing classes will be available for those looking for a unique educational experience. The Culinary Arts & Sustainable Food Systems program at Kalamazoo Valley Community College has partnered with ‘Wine Not?’ to offer a limited number of free sessions on wine and food pairing which attendees can sign up for at the event.

Live music will also entertain attendees, with a violin duo and jazz quartet from the Kalamazoo Symphony Orchestra, and jazz and guitar music from Patti Fleming Entertainment.

“If you’re looking for the perfect ready-made date night for Valentine’s Day, we’ve got you covered,” said Schmitt.

“There are hotel packages available at the Radisson with tickets to the event, and plenty of fun activities and places to explore downtown,” she said.

General admission is $35 and includes 10 tokens for wine sampling, a commemorative tasting glass, and live entertainment. For the ultimate experience, VIP tickets ($50) grant attendees early access starting at 4 pm, along with 15 sampling tokens and wine glass, complimentary coat check, and access to the VIP wine lounge to taste exclusive wines not found on the main floor.

Last year’s event sold out at 850 tickets, and although capacity has increased for 2016, those interested are encouraged to purchase tickets in advance as they may not be available on event day. Tickets and more information can be found at WKFR.com.
