Grand Rapids Public Museum Continues Beer Explorers with Beer The Change™ Partnering with Brewery Vivant

Grand Rapids, MI – The Grand Rapids Public Museum (GRPM) is in partnership with Brewery Vivant is offering a special Beer Explorers class on Thursday, March 23 to learn about the impact of beer brewing has on the environment and the science behind it, while enjoying a special beer tasting.

Participants will learn about what impacts brewing has on the environment and what can be done to make beer more earth-friendly. Sip delicious beers and get answers to questions about how local brewers are leading the charge to save the world, one beer at a time. The class will be led by Brewery Vivant’s Owner and Sustainability Director, Kris Spaulding, and Wandering Monk and Certified Cicerone, Ryan Engemann for an evening of environmentally friendly beer.

Class begins at 6:30 p.m. and will be held on the first floor in the Museum’s Galleria. Admission to class includes three beer samples, as well as access to the Museum’s first two floors to explore! A cash bar will also be available.

Tickets for the event are $8 for members and $18 for non-members. Participants must be 21 and older. Tickets can be purchased at grpm.org

This Beer Explorers program will be the first of three with Brewery Vivant. On April 19, join the GRPM and Brewery Vivant for Pub Science at Brewery Vivant’s location. Pub Science is free to participate in for ages 21 and older. Registration is required. Please visit grpm.org/PubScience to register today.

May 11 will be the 3rd class in the series with Brewery Vivant, teaching participants about how to combine beer with cheeses. Tickets will go on sale in March for the May class.
