Lights, camera, action! One of the largest influential figures in Nuevo Flamenco music, Jesse Cook, returns to the Kalamazoo State Theatre for an unforgettable performance! After two decades of merging worlds in restless pursuit of inspiration, innovation, and collaboration, Cook changed course for his ninth studio album “One World” that came out April, 28th, 2015. Instead of performing in exotic locales, he stayed home in his studio. Instead of a foreign legion of performers, he relied on his own devices to create the sounds that he craved.
And instead of dividing well-known genres of music — flamenco, classical, rumba, world beat, pop, blues or jazz — he united them! Plan ahead to participate in a whirlwind event where genres mesh to create an unforgettable and pleasing performance.
